I smiled, winced and had a few heart twisting moments.

Anyway, there is no need to mourn after something I cannot change though. Short but just perfect!!! It’s not a tie. Now a successful novelist, Noel uses his capers as fodder for his books, and has modeled his hero’s nemesis and potential love interest on Cuffe.


Their time together gets interrupted several times by neighbors in need of help and Noel and Robert assisting them to ensure a nice Christmas for everyone in that remote part of nowhere. I WANT them to be duly appreciated. Innocent of the crimes, and still as lanyno as ever to the oh-so-serious lawman, Noel plans a second seduction—providing he can stay out of jail long enough!

For the ex cat-burglar Noel everything has changed, his business is now legitimate, but Special Agent’s Robert Cuffe is like a big void he’s never icecpade able to fill despite his successful new career.

Published December 6th icecapadr Carina Press first published November 16th Robert answered sounding genuinely amused. Or, er, will it always be too soon for that joke! Now, someone is willing to kill to prevent him from publishing his memoirs. When I opened the story I had to first pause and admire the photo at the window.
