I don’t even know what her middle name was. American literature, the body of written works produced in the English language in the United States. It was not terrifying it was strange. I am going to write it for you. So, I did not buy it and now I am regretting it big time.

When she dropped out of medical school because she was bored, friends pleaded with her to stay because of “the cause of women”; her reply was “you don’t know what it is to be bored”.

She had a constant exchange of ideas with people. She also painted and was a vital figure and host within the artistic world. Here’s what I know about Gertrude Stein: Our class ultimately decided that it was an amazing love letter to Alice from Gertrude.

There was nothing shy and retiring about Stein and her high opinion of herself never faltered. What’s odd is that despite being intensly self-centered and Stein being quite unlikable and the gossip being particularly dull, I quite enjoyed it – although perhaps not in the way that Stein would have liked me to have enjoyed it.
